SK Hynix' head Park Sung-wook won a government award for creating jobs through cooperation between management and labor and for developing the semiconductor industry. 
 
Park, who was appointed as a chief of the company in 2012, has been expanding employment into graduates from high school, community colleges and universities located in provinces. 
 
According to the semiconductor company, graduates from high school and community colleges accounted for 25 percent and 33 percent of the total new employees in 2014 and 2015 each. SK Hynix also fosters specialized personnel by partnering with around 70 community colleges and 100 high schools nationwide.
 
Accordingly, the number of total employees rose from 20,000 in 2012 to 22,000 this year. The company also posted a record profit for two straight years in 2013 and 2014.
