
Hyundai and Kia Motors in the Chinese market saw a 17.5 percent rise in sales from the previous year and its monthly sales surpassed 200,000 units for the first time last month.
According to industry watchers, Hyundai and Kia sold 128,000 and 86,000 units each to China, a rise of 10.2 percent and 30.1 percent respectively.
The total figure stands at 214,000 units, and this is a sharp rise from the record-high sales of 182,000 units in December of 2014.
Hyundai has sold more than 100,000 units for three straight months while Kia shipped more than 800,000 units for the first time in China.
