Under the slogan Creating One Asia Together, the Asia Economic Community Forum (AECF) 2009 raised its curtain at Songdo ConvensiA, Incheon, on November 11. Close to a thousand visitors attended the forum to explore Asia’s future together and showed an eagerness to participate in this challenging venture. Public intellectuals in economics and philosophical matters shined on the first day of the forum. Guy Sorman, Makoto Taniguchi, Gerald Roland, Edward K. Y. Chen, Laurence Brahm, Daniel Gros, and Barry Bosworth attended the forum as panelists and emphasized the significance of international copperation in future global economy.
