SK Chemicals, chemical product maker, said on Tuesday it developed secondary batteries, which performs higher than current ones.
The electrolyte of secondary batteries is the key material to comprise the battery alongside the positive and negative poles and membrane.
The material developed by SK Chemicals represents higher performance compared to other products, the company said, adding, its life lasts longer and has better output.
According to the comparison test done by the company, the new material showed a recovery rate, up to 27 percent higher and 20 percent lower internal resistance than existing ones.
The recovery rate refers to the index for recovery when charging up the dead battery. The higher the figure is, the longevity of the secondary battery becomes longer.
The internal resistance is a figure directed to output. The lower the internal resistance is, the higher output the battery can get.
