South Korea's cosmetics firm said Thursday it signed an MOU with Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba to protect intellectual property rights of their products.
Through the agreement, the two firms agreed to cooperate on preventing sales and distribution of forgery products, which is becoming a serious social issue in China
They also plan to share information about the forgery products and to strengthen supervision about the counterfeits of Amore Pacific's brands selling on Alibaba's online market.
In order to prevent the infringement of property rights on the online markets, they agreed to build a partnership to remove the sales information of forgery products and to reveal the criminals' information when the crime happens on Alibaba's e-commerce platforms including Taobao and Tmall.
