The Fira Gran Via, a cutting-edge exhibition and conference venue where the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2016 is held, was fully packed with people from the global telecom and mobile industries, starting from the exhibition’s first day on February 22.
The huge exhibition area of 110,000 square meters looked small since it was crowded with too many visitors. This scene makes the exhibition as a huge arena for companies who are struggling to survive in the fast-changing mobile era.

The main theme for this year’s MWC is “Mobile is everything.” The MWC 2016 shows that the era when mobile is penetrating into every aspect of industries, including manufacturing, finance, logistics, media, tourism and sports, is close at hand.
At this year’s MWC, the most eye-catching items are VR and 5G mobile telecommunications. VR should be developed in tandem with 5G. To send VR data in a more vivid manner, it is a kind of a must to have faster transmission speed than the current LTE service. In the smart device area, Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S7 and LG Electronics’ S5 garnered the hottest attention.
