Shanghai - There are many people concerned about security problems these days. That's why people keep using some sort of security guard systems more than ever in order to protect them and their properties from hackers. To keep pace with this recent growth in uses of security systems, the Korea IT Times met a company which is developing the futuristic Ubiquitous security system named HomeNeSS at AEES 2009.
When emergency situations happen at your home, whether you are at home or not, HomeNeSS security sensors automatically detect the situation and then call the control center and send a message to your phone immediately. The whole situation is recorded, and if you connect to a special web security URL, you will be able to check out what happened even though you are far away from home. There are four different types of systems. The HNS-100 series components are the video security and control system. The HNS-200 parts are a video security system bell for elderly residents. The HNS-300 uses CCD cameras and a functional digital video recorder (DVR) system. And the HNS-400 system has two-way video communication and a wireless remote control.

"Currently we are selling a lot of security systems to the countries that have a gulf between the rich and poor especially China and Turkey," explained Jeon Cheon-ki, President of Home Security Network Co., Ltd. "As this is already the fourth time for us to participate in AEES, we do have many buyers who have already seen our products earlier and we keep getting in touch with those buyers. Some buyers have already contacted us to say that they will visit our booth to discuss details for making business this year." Mr. Jeon went on to say, "The system also includes one-button automated detect functions such as water leakage sensors, feed tank sensors, security cameras, heat sensors and generator operation sensors. If you want to use all of these functions on your system, you might need to pay at least US$500 per month. But we can provide HomeNeSS for a lot cheaper price."
He also had something to say about the state of copyright in China. "Talking about copyright issues in China, some companies that are in the same kind of business visited our booth and pretended to be a common buyer. However, we do not worry about them even though they try to copy our products, because it might be easy for them to copy the hardware itself but not easy to develop the HomeNeSS software systems," Jeon said. "HomeNeSS will be specializing into many fields of our society for doing specific missions, from securing your properties in your house, to caring for people in the hospital, to helping investigations in the police station."
