Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge will show off the world's fastest speed LTE service in smartphone download and upload speed.
Thanks to improvements of the model’s upload and download speeds, user will be able to share and use more video clips and images on their social networking services. It used to take about 20 seconds to download a single 1-GB movie for Galaxy S6 but Samsung said it takes only about 15 seconds to download a single 1-GB movie for Galaxy S7 due to model’s upload speed up to 150 Mbps and the download speed up to 600 Mbps.
The downloading speed of Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7, accordingly, is about 33 percent improved compared to that of Galaxy S6.
Samsung also said that starting from March 27 through partnership with Korea's three major telecom companies, the LTE service of Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 will be upgraded into category 12 and category 11, respectively. The previous Galaxy S6 was available up to category 9.
However, the actual uploading and downloading speed might be different depending on telecom companies.
