The LG G5 smartphone sold 50,000 units in just five days. LG's new flagship smartphone even sold out at some stores.
According to LG Electronics and South Korea’s three major mobile carriers, sales of the LG G5 broke the 50,000 mark on April 4. Since the G5 hit the stores on March 31, it has sold, on average, 10,000 units per day. It has been selling twice as faster than its predecessor, the G4, which sold 5,000 units a day in the early days of its release.
Despite LG’s unprecedented decision not to take pre-orders in the run-up to the release of the G5, some distributors started to take pre-orders for the G5 modular smartphone. As s result, the G5 sold out at some stores as the stores tried to fill pre-orders first.
