Samsung's LED television is a ideal model to represent the UN's policy to improve the environment through environmentally-friendly products. On December 8th, Samsung launched a plan to exhibit their LED televisions to the UN as well as a Korean cultural event to display this product and how it represents an environmental friendly product.

In addition, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Arts Council Korea will sponsor an event that will be held at Copenhagen Fredericksburg Town Hall from December 8 - 16. At this event, there will be 8 artists who will exhibit documentaries, pictures, and products to stress the importance of being environmentally-friendly and methods of achieving this.

To be a part of this event, Samsung Electronics donated their televisions to 2 of these artists. In total, they donated 4 LED televisions to these 2 people for it to be displayed at this event. The recipients of these televisions were Jenny Ross, a famous American artist and Hong Bum, a famous media artist.

In the beginning of this year, Samsung's LCD television received two awards for its environmentally-friendly features. At the Consumer Electronics Show, Samsung's LCD television received the Environmental Innovation Award as well as the Green TV award at a European electronics show. Samsung's LED television uses 46% less power and releases 43kg less carbon dioxide yearly than the LCD television.

Shim Soo Ook, Samsung's executive director, stated, "I expect that our environmental friendly products will represent the idea of becoming more environmentally-friendly and help spread the Korea Environmental Preservation Association's message of a green environment."
