
GS Home Shopping, one of S. Korea’s major shopping channel operators, joined hands with Korean SMEs and discussed deals worth 19 billion won with buyers from leading Asian distributors in Malaysia.
On May 31 - June 2, an Asian market development team, dispatched to Malaysia, held discussions with international buyers on 224 deals worth $16 million, $4.82 million of which is likely to materialize, according to GS Home Shopping.
The Asian market development team was formed as part of an SME support project led by GS Home Shopping, the Large & Small Business Cooperation Foundation and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA). The Asian market development team, the third of its kind since March 2015, consisted of officials from SMEs offering a range of products such as home living, beauty and fashion items, food and small-sized home appliances.
