Google Inc. has finally put a name to their long awaited cell phone and it is called Nexus One. It will be sold to the consumer as soon as next year. Nexus One is being manufactured for Google By HTC Corp. All of the applications are designed by Google Inc.
Google is making a risky move, in selling this new cellular phone. Rather than selling the phone through a wireless carrier-the way the majority of cellular phones are sold in America. Instead, Google plans on Selling Nexus One over the internet. However, customers will have to buy the cellular service device separately.
The specs for the Nexus One is as follows: android 2.1, HTC, capacitive touch screen, only an on screen keyboard, thin, scroll ball, and animated desktop wallpaper.
Google wants to dictate the applications rather than working with the wireless carriers.
This move will make Google Inc. the first time to sell hardware.
If you are an employee of Google than you are luckily enough to test a Nexus One because Google has given a Nexus One to all of their employees.
