Samsung SDS, an information and communication technology (ICT) service company, will stepping up its mobile banking security solution business for the UK’s investment bank Barclays.
Samsung SDS announced on August 3 that it will support the development of digital banking service of Barclays Bank Plc, the second-largest investment bank in the UK. Samsung SDS will provide Samsung Electronics’ mobile security platform KNOX and its mobile authentication solution FIDO to Barclays.
Samsung SDS’ FIDO is an authentication technology which can use a variety of biometric authentication means such as fingerprints, iris and voice.
Moreover, Samsung SDS has also signed a business agreement with Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) GmbH, Europe’s largest financial security solutions provider, to jointly carry out a mobile certification solution business. Under the agreement, G&D will be able to use Samsung SDS’s mobile bio-verification solution.
