Content Monetization is fighting unlicensed content

When the Internet was introduced, users got information by surfing the web or downloading free content including news, pictures, music and movies. Most users do not feel guilty when they download free content. Unfortunately, for these free users they will be faced with subscription fees on the medium content that they choose to download.

The New York Times are considering the prices on their news coverage with behind the scenes interviews, product discounts and even previews of upcoming news stories. If the New York Times find success on this, other national and regional papers will follow suit. Also, content creators and distributors are welcoming the idea users are willing to pay for news or other types of media to their personal computers and mobile devices.

Meanwhile, the reaction from users looks positive and there is no surprise that the "fee" always wins over "free" because the content is difficult and expensive to produce. It seems users now prefer to pay an online subscription fee and are ready to pay for the services.
