The Ministry of Knowledge and Economy in cooperation with  UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) opened IR sessions for Korea-Africa Infrastructure and Energy at Seoul Renaissance Hotel.

At the sessions, agency orders for public businesses and government officials, high ranking officers from UNECA and NEPAD (New Partnership for Development), ambassadors from African countries, and CEOs from construction, plant, and energy corporations participated.

The main objectives in the sessions are to enhance the cooperative relationship with Africa, to explain investment projects related to infrastructures in African countries, and to stimulate entries to African markets.

The event was especially intriguing to Korean corporations that had already established infrastructures and energy projects in Korea. The companies with experience and technologies actively desired participation in the African markets.

At the presentation, Yi Dong-geun, Knowledge and Economy Trade and Investment mount, gave a keynote speech to explain plans to enhance the cooperative relationship between Korea and Africa confronting increasing demand for plants in industrializing infrastructures.
