Steve Ballmer delivers his keynote speech

Steve Ballmer, the CEO of Microsoft, marked the start by delivering his keynote address on the January 6 at the Hilton Hotel. He arguably showed confidence that MS Operating System, digital entertainment device, and search will all be successful; "the year 2009 began with a rocky road of economic depression but the IT sector survived on persistent investment and a cautious attitude that ultimately led to new technology" said Ballmer. On this day, thousands of corporate heads, reporters, and MS staff members filled the seats. Also due to the rumor of which Steve Ballmer might resign MS has created more attention.

Ballmer laid particular emphasis on Window 7 that was off to a smooth start and further hinted its' potential by displaying various PC that have adapted it. HP's Window 7 Tablet PC, Sony's all-in-one notebook PC, and Lenovo's wide screen notebook PC are the technical superiority and especially, Tablet PC is housed with multi- touch screen that lacks a keyboard. In other words, Ballmer proudly reveals that there soon will be a world that no longer requires keyboards once Tablet PC is put into practice. Ballmer stirred further anticipation as he claimed that he will update latest news, next month at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.

Other than that, UVO powered by Microsoft will finally be unveiled. According to Ballmer, UVO, abbreviation for 'Your Voice', is going to be exhibited during CES by Kia Motors that has also worked on its' creation for many years. UVO is an infotainment vehicle system that is backed up by Windows. On top of that, Natal is planning to reveal itself in front of the public within this year. Natal is a game that lacks the traditional joy stick or mouse and is controlled solely on the detection of a person's motion.
