
Brand-new strategies are coming soon. On January 9, 2010, three New Strategies were unveiled to develop China’s market during the meeting in Shanghai, China.
The three brand-new strategies are new region, new market and new consumer. First, new region strategy means occupying second and third strongholds and the extension of the Middle-West area where financial support must be focused. Second, new market strategy means the diversification of advance fields such as higher value-added consumer goods, domestic demand industry products and public utility enterprises. Third, new consumer strategy means capturing overseas student who are studying abroad, moonlight class and the little emperor.
For these strategies KOTRA will promote various projects such as a successful operation of a Korean booth at the EXPO in Shanghai, cooperation with Alibaba an online market place, custom-made supply consultation of vehicles, Big 10 Automaker meeting, and the Chinese IT Big 10 sourcing meeting. President Cho stated, "China’s market is the most important place which can decide the future of exporting." He also, asked the heads of Korea’s Business Center to make an effort in pioneering China’s market.
