NEW YORK, March 16, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- An iOS app from server monitoring company Server Density is available on the iTunes app store that makes it easy and efficient for IT engineers and system administrators to receive real-time system status updates and alerts for major cloud services throughout the world, via their iPhone and iPad.

Cloud Status was created by Server Density, the cloud-based server monitoring service. It provides automated status updates of most of the major cloud services, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Linode, Rackspace, DigitalOcean and others. No account or ID is required. Just install the app, select any providers and regions that require monitoring, and the app will provide notifications if there are any issues.

“Just as we did when we founded Server Density to create our core server monitoring service, we created the Cloud Status app to solve a problem that we were having in our own lives around keeping our cloud assets up and running and healthy,” said David Mytton, CEO and founder at Server Density. “All of our products and services are designed with the goal of making life easier and more productive for IT folks, and the Cloud Status app is an incredibly handy tool that really does make a difference. It continuously monitors the cloud so you don’t have to. No more compulsive checks throughout the day (and night). If something is off-kilter, a timely notification will let you know.”

The Cloud Status app is an extension of Server Density’s cloud-based monitoring service, which is used by businesses large and small to keep track of their IT assets and make sure they are running to meet current and future needs.

“Pretty much everyone setting up shop these days will invariably store and compute on the cloud,” said Mytton. “If we can make a tiny impact on our customers’ workflows, that means a lot in terms of both helping their businesses grow as well as keeping the IT staff sane. Both are, or should be, priorities for any business operating in the cloud.”
