Jiang Hai Song is under arrest by American Police

According to the Global Times a Chinese graduate with a Ph.D. snuck through a Newark Airport checkpoint that caused the airport to shut down. This hopeless romantic did it only because he wanted to kiss his girlfriend good-bye. After this was aired it started to gather the attention of netizens and when China found out that he is Chinese this became a serious matter.

Many Chinese netizens have expressed their feelings about this issue. Their opinion is critical and they think the man, Jiang Hai Song, is giving a bad reputation about China. A netizen said, “If this happened in China it would be a personal thing, but in foreign country it relates to the national image of China.” Also another netizen mentioned, “His Ph.D. failed to teach him any good manners.” Many Chinese think that he should be punished.

In Contrast a netizen said, “He did a good job, very romantic, he gave American security a scare and people should not blame him. What we should be doing is reinforcing national security, that is all.” Another netizen mention, “It isn't a problem, it looks like his motive is pure, the problem is that he should not sneak into a restricted area.” The American media is focusing on the guard who left his post unguarded temporarily to highlight porous security. CNN declared that the guard already admitted his fault that caused this mayhem. The French media declared that American airports have become neurotic due to the recent terror alerts that happened last Christmas.
