
The Information Technology Professionals Association of Korea’s (IPAK) general assembly meeting was held at the Sangnok Plaza in Seoul on Jan. 20, 2010, and 70 IPAK members attended it.
At the beginning of the meeting, Baek Du-ok who is the Administrator of Seoul Regional Small and Medium Business Administration made a speech regarding the policies and support for small and medium business firms in 2010. Some of the IPAK members were awarded for their contributions for the development of IPAK. Membership was given to fresh members who recently registered.
The IPAK general assembly meeting included many important issues that were passed unanimously such as reporting on 2009's closing accounts; 2010's business plan and the budget for the new year.
Jo Doo-hyun, Former Chairman of IPAK, thanked all the members of IPAK for their support and with a self evaluation for his two year term. Jo Doo-hyun explained about the work that he has done and the work he plans to do. Cho Sung-kap, a newly appointed chairman of IPAK, described his vision of what he plans to do for his term.

Chairman Cho Sung-kap, a professor at the Graduate School of Information Management and Security of Korea University, said, "Thank you so much for all your support and I would like to thank former board members of IPAK for their dedication for last two years.” Mr. Cho continued to say, "There is no doubt about the fact that I will do my best to contribute to important issues such as recruiting capable new members, making strong IPAK's financial structure, upgrading the professional image of IPAK and improving IPAK's office conditions with a manageable workplace."
The chairman closed the meeting after all the members of IPAK exchanged New Year's greetings and to take a commemorative photograph.
IPAK was established in May of 1984, and has held a lot of informative forums and beneficial events in every sector of the Korean IT industry.
