According to Xinhua Newspaper, the Chinese Navy has recruited new soldiers this year, and the result shows that 24.9 percent of them have a bachelor's degree or master's degree. The naval authority expects an improvement in academia for their soldiers.
The authority plans to inspire the college graduates patriotism, train them to dedicate themselves to the Navy, and guide them to use intellect on naval problems. For this plan, the authority invited a professor, a military specialist, to its training base to teach the college graduates. In addition, the Chinese Navy asked Tsinghua University to cooperate and to support the college graduates adapting to their new surroundings.
