
KOTRA opened a podcast service of trade case analysis that can be lectured by iPhone and iPod. This podcast service which is an online multimedia content subscription service that can be used by iTunes (online content sale program run by Apple.) Visitors can use it by typing 'KOTRA' as the keyword and there is no charge.
The lecture consists of total 35 episodes, and the lecture is provided as form of case study about the area of trading including payment and tariff refund. KOTRA explained that this podcast service is very different from normal online lectures which are just recorded and uploaded; they made the lecture by considering podcast form from the early stage in planning.
The lecture was produced not to exceed 15 minutes per 1 episode, so visitors can make the best use of extra time such as commuting. KOTRA expected that this service will help young businessmen and businesswomen who work in overseas sales and frequently use smart phones.
Oh Sung-ken, Executive General Manager for Business Information of KOTRA said, "KOTRA plans to produce follow-up podcast contents with using trade and investment know-how of KOTRA, and we will also provide the contents to domestic web cast channel as well as iTunes." He continued to say, “In the long run, we are also under considering a project to produce mobile applications for smart phones that can be used for mobile window of KOTRA."
