
In the midst of eco-friendly boom, Samsung SDS holds hands with a series of global businesses that promote green environment via Information and Communications Technology (ICT) strategy. Samsung SDS and Capgemini signed a contract for conducting a joint promotion on environmental business.
Samsung SDS newly opened an environment consulting department and came up with project plans that deal with top three issues, in which cutting carbon emission, improving green IT/service sector, and emission trading. The company's main business showings include executing 'Samsung Green Management Evaluation' subjected towards Samsung Group affliates and participating in 'Jeju Smart Grid Project' to secure reference on domestic environmental enterprise.
In order to expand global matters, the company signed off business partners with foreign companies. For instance, it established a strategic alliance with Germany's TechniData in March of 2009 and also with Britain's ERM in June. The most recent partnership was on January 25, 2010 with Capgemini in Paris, France where both parties signed a contract on joint project on environmental development.
