South Korea's Shinhan Financial Group will help Haiti for earthquake relief efforts.

On January 21, Shinhan Financial Group, South Korea's second-largest financial services firm, announced that they will send US$500,000 to Save the Children and UNICEF to help restore earthquake-ravaged Haiti and earthquake victims. Shinhan's donation will be made to Save the Children and UNICEF to fund Haiti's relief efforts.

An unidentified Shinhan official said, "Our company wanted to make a small contribution to the international community's humanitarian efforts to help the earthquake-torn nation. We sincerely wish a speedy recovery for Haiti.
