
Next generation online game which is developed by a Korean company opened a new export market for Europe and U.S. markets.
On January 26, 2010, Choi Youn-jin, Chairman of Eden Entertainment Co. Ltd. (www.eden-ent.co.kr) which is an online game developer, Patrick Streppel, Chief Marketing Director of gamigo AG (www.gamigo.de) which is the biggest online game publisher in Europe and Park Ki-sik, Executive Vice President for Strategic Business of KOTRA participated and concluded the contract on exporting.
The contract allows Eden Entertainment to make a huge profit through royalties and copyright, the amount of profit will be about US$10 million for three years starting in 2010.
The title of the game is 'Last Online' that is the first action Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) which uses non-target way and Korean game engine. Unlike existing action MMORPGs, Last Online has two distinct features. Users can play the game smoothly even on low spec PCs and users can control the game by using a joystick.

Park Ki-sik, Executive Vice President for Strategic Business of KOTRA said, "I think the Korean game industry has enough competitive power." He went on to say, "KOTRA is promoting a variety of marketing businesses to overseas market with Korean cultural content."
