Seoul Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (CEO Chung Hoon Lee, www.acriche.com), a world's leading LED manufacturer, has announced that since the second half of last year, decorative lighting products that use Seoul Semiconductor LEDs have been installed in Swarovski Kristallwelten in Wattens, Austria and at Zurich airport, Switzerland. MK Illumination, maker of the lighting products is a decorative lighting company which designs and produces decorative lighting products for famous structures and festival sites in Europe. Seoul Semiconductor's products were supplied in March of last year and the company's LED decorative lighting products have been using Seoul Semiconductor's LED since September last year.
Seoul Semiconductor's LEDs (lamp LED, 4mm wide angle) used in MK Illumination's decorative lighting are very resistant to both high temperature and high moisture environments along with high luminance, making them idea for outdoor products such as signboards and electronic display boards. This particular application demonstrated the LED's excellent performance as outdoor decorative lighting for Europe where the temperature is very low during winter.
An official of Seoul Semiconductor who is responsible for the European market has said that "the demand for LEDs for lighting products is on the rise and we have also seen an increase in demand for LEDs in the field of decorative lighting", He went on to say "Seoul Semiconductor is planning to increase its share of the European market by tapping into a variety of other applications in addition to the lighting market", while also adding "Seoul Semiconductor's improved status in the European market is continuously demonstrated by a variety of cases where its lighting products are used, and Seoul Semiconductor's LED will be increasingly used in the most famous places in Europe".
