Recently, there have been many conflicts that have risen in China. First, when Google threatened China by shutting down its branch office in China, the government neglected it. Second, when UN tried to impose sanctions on Iran, China played obstructer without difficulty. It seems very obvious, China will not try to read other countries' minds any more, and the world should accept this new condition.
Political power and economic power are intertwined; meaning that wealth is created in that economy and the economy depends a lot on political power. Political power is actually very valuable, and its value increases with economic wealth. Jonathan Fenby, a British journalist, said, "China is full of self-confidence. After China has gone through the global economical difficulty, they feel that everything will be fine."
What happens next It won't be peaceful. America is going to sell weapons to Taiwan, and the U.S. President Obama plans to meet the Dalai Lama. In economic sector, China will outstrip Japan within this year to become number two in the world. Fenby stated, "It looks like the U.S. has not made practical strategies to deal with emerging China."
