Santa Clara, Calif. – (February 19, 2009) – The TesLAcm  Alliance (Test Lab Automation) today announced that is has made significant strides toward publishing the first Test Automation industry standards. The initial proposal of the TesLA standard will be presented for review at the quarterly meeting scheduled on February 25, 2009 at Ixia’s iSimCity in Santa Clara, CA.

The standards proposal will address the authoring, reporting and lab management aspects of test lab automation. Members with expertise in the respective areas have driven the development of these standards in TesLA’s standards committee.

“The momentum and delivery of version 1.0 of the Test Automation standards is an exciting step for the TesLA alliance,” said Adam Stein, Marketing and Membership Committee Chairman of  TesLA Alliance. “TesLA standards will enable operators and vendors to increase the velocity of their test cycles by double or triple and significantly reduce the time to market of networking products and carrier services.”

In addition, TesLA will present its first webinar, “Open Testing Standards Emerge: Enabling Seamless Sharable and Platform-Independent Automation”, which will be presented by HP ProCurve’s Vince Mendoza, master technical consultant for their solutions test center. Mendoza is a customer advisor to TesLA. The webinar will run live on Feb 24 at 10:00 AM, PST and will be available later on the TesLA web site.  This webinar will discuss open testing standards for seamless, shareable platform independent automation.  Those interested in viewing the webinar should register here or at https://ixmeeting.webex.com/ixmeeting/j.phpED=112721097&RG=1&UID=0. There is no charge to attend the webinar.
