i-Station and TELEFUNKEN agree upon HOA

I-Station hoists a sail and leaves on a voyage that it badly wanted. I-Station has secured stable distribution network to make way for expanding its business in Europe and elsewhere around the world that in turn targets the global market.

According to i-Station, an integrated convergence company, TELEFUNKEN and i-Station agreed upon Head of Agreement (HOA) on February third to construct omnidirectional cooperative ties at i-Station headquarters in Sinsa-dong. HOA is a form of an agreement that has legally binding force for reference. TELEFUNKEN stands for innovation and development in information and communication technology.

Through reaching an agreement between the two companies, i-Station decided on TELEFUNKEN as its main distribution channel to Europe and became one of TELEFUNKEN's partner firms.

TELEFUNKEN was first established in 1903 that specializes in Germany's consumer electronics, home electronics, and communication devices. Since December 2007, the trademark TELEFUNKEN is with TEELEFUNKEN holding AG, Frankfurt. TELEFUNKEN is currently the owner of more than 20,000 patents and is active in more than 130 countries.

The biggest disadvantages of a company that strives to enter the global market lies on not knowing the local market's knowledge and its lack of experience. However, i-Station will be safe and sound unless the company well utilizes the TELEFUNKEN's accumulated marketing knowledge and its procured distribution network. Thus, one can expect i-Station to glide unhampered through the tunnel to success and recognition.

I-Station and TELEFUNKEN, in concert, plans on developing high-definition (HD) quality PMP and other mobile devices and commercialize these products worldwide through taking a step-by-step process with caution.

"We were stricken with awe when discovering i-Station's finest and innovative design at IFA2009 held in Germany and I am delighted and thrilled to make partnerships with i-Station that will pave the way for our company to be equipped with a variety of portfolios within the multimedia market," said Hemjö Klein, CEO of TELEFUNKEN.

On top of that, Dr. Andy JM Park, President of i-Station said, "Consumers will be able to purchase 'i-Station-TELEFUNKEN T9' product from the beginning of second quarter of this year and that i-Station will endeavor on increasing sales and expanding market share by strengthening marketing strategies." I-Station showcased PMP T9 HD that provides HD image with slim design of 4.3-inches last month.
