A spectacular Chinese gala that includes Chinese Folk Dance; Beautiful Hua Dan, Sichuan Opera; Change Facial Masks, Chinese Puppet Show; Long Silk Dance, and Chinese Acrobatic Performance; Strength. According to People's Daily, these performances have been prepared by the Sichuan University Art Troupe (SCUAT) to be shown to England on February 11. This is a special program titled "Happy Chinese New Year" produced by the Chinese Ministry of Culture. From this year, China is going to introduce the Happy Chinese New Year to the world. The program is going to be held in America, England, Germany and other 39 countries, for 65 times.
Done Jun Xin, a head of the Bureau for External Cultural Relations under the Ministry of Culture said, "Now, 80 percent of the participants in the Chinese New Year programs are local people, not just overseas Chinese. It shows that Chinese traditions are becoming very attractive. I have resided in Europe for a long time and I have seen the Chinese New Year program in Berlin three times and the cultural activities have been getting better and better. I believe that Chinese culture has already rooted, bloomed, and fruited in local places."
