Chen Hong Tai, an associate professor of political science at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, was interviewed by the People's Daily Online. He stated, “There are four strong political and cultural points for the Chinese Miracle.”
First, the Chinese model is effective and concentrated. Deng Xiao Ping, the head of the People's Republic of China from 1978 to the early 1990s, said, "Concentrated power can be achieved through great work, by making decisions and just doing it." When the Chinese government plans to do something, there are fewer obstacles than other countries.
Second, concentrated political power supports economic growth. The Chinese economy can get sources from the Community Party of China, the government, and the administration. Every part can focus on one issue; they do not fight amongst each other.
Third, the Chinese system is innovative. Its feedback is quick; it continues to change itself to satisfy economical and social demands.
Fourth, the Chinese culture is good at integrating something into uniqueness. Xun Zi, an ancient Chinese Confucian philosopher said, "People can work for their private profit and public good at the same time." These two ideas seem to contradict each other, but the Chinese culture thinks everything can be mixed. Even contradictory ideas such as realism and idealism can even work together.
