When a nation state is made, national profit is the focal point for every country. Lord Palmerston, a British statesman who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom twice in the mid-19 century said, "We have no eternal allies and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are perpetual and eternal and those interests it is our duty do follow." In the first decade of the 21 century, countries have followed this idea faithfully. America, for example, gave a plausible excuse for the war on terror or for attacking Iraq because in fact it was for strategic interests.
In contrast, China's idea is different. Confucius, a Master Chinese Philosopher said, "Wealth and rank attained through immoral means have as much to do with me as passing clouds." China has applied this mantra to a win-win strategy, for the last ten years. It has never wanted to damage others for economic gains. China always wants to cooperate with others and if it takes something from someone, it gives back something. China has followed the principle; it is the secret of China’s achievement.
