SINGAPORE, Dec. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/Korea IT Times-- CenturyLink, Inc. (NYSE: CTL) today announced it has been named a Leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Managed Hybrid Cloud Hosting, Asia Pacific, for the third consecutive year1.
The report recognized CenturyLink's ability to execute and its completeness of vision. According to Gartner, "Providers that aim for market leadership need to demonstrate that they can address multiple markets within the region with the support of a competitive cloud platform, as well as associated managed and professional capabilities." Due to the region's large size and fragmented geography, providers need a strong market understanding of their target segments, as this will determine their geographic strategy, supported by competitive offerings.

Cloud adoption is expected to continue to increase. Gartner predicts that total public cloud services spending in the APAC region will grow to $13.6 billion by 20192, significantly more than the $8.5 billion spent in 2016. Asian enterprises are increasingly running multiple cloud environments that are often operated and supported separately, so it is important for them to partner with a provider that delivers significant added value to meet their business needs.
