Jiang Zengwei, Vice Minister of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, stated that Consumer Price Index (CPI) in February this year rose 2.7 percent. Food price made a main pressure to rise the CPI, because vegetables had been damaged by natural disaster.
Also Jiang pointed out Chinese consumption of luxuries has increased to rank second. The amount of luxuries Chinese has bought were little less than Japan's.
