The launch of Samsung’s 2018 QLED TVs has ushered in a new era of Intelligent Display. QLED TVs achieve crisp details, seamless connection to users’ favorite content via smart features, and a beautifully simplified design that discreetly harmonizes with any space or lifestyle.

In Samsung’s first TV launch of the year, the company unveiled the 2018 QLED TVs to media representatives, partners and invitees at the First Look event, hosted at the American Stock Exchange in New York on March 7. The event not only introduced Samsung’s future vision for the TV, but also gave attendees the opportunity to get hands-on with the newest range of 2018 QLED TVs. The exhibition featured interactive experience zones where visitors could enjoy true-to-life picture quality, Ambient Mode, SmartThings integration with Bixby, and an ever-so-subtle Invisible Connection.

Take a look at the event highlights below.

Jonghee Han, President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, introducing the new 2018 QLED TVs. “It’s time for a new definition of visual display. The most beautiful screen that is easy to use and offers complete immersion without any distractions: this is the promise of Samsung QLED TV in 2018.”

Julien Jae Lee, Vice President of Visual Display Business UX Team at Samsung Electronics, announces the end of the big black screen. With Ambient Mode, Samsung’s QLED TVs integrate with your living space, giving the TV a new purpose in life.

The Wall, Samsung’s 146-inch modular TV, fully immerses visitors, presenting a bigger vision for the future. It will be launched in the second half of this year.

Competitors race head-to-head in the XBOX Competition Event. The game, shown on a QLED TV that enhances the immersive experience, was broadcasted live on YouTube.

The QLED TVs’ Ambient Mode blends seamlessly into backdrops of wood, brick and paint. Ambient Mode can harmonize with the TV’s backdrop, showcase a beautiful picture or display useful information.

An Invisible Room shows off the advantages of Samsung’s single-cable One Invisible Connection. The thin and transparent cable links the TV to a One Connect box that connects to all your media devices and can be hidden neatly out of sight.

A guest explores SmartThings, which effortlessly connects a user’s TV to multiple devices, with seamless syncing and control.

Integration with Bixby also allows people to control all the main functions of their Samsung QLED TV with just their voices.
