LG Display has announced that it will participate in “Light & Building 2018”, the world’s largest lighting and construction exhibition held in Frankfurt, Germany from the 18th to the 23rd (local time), showcasing various Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) lighting products and technologies.
LG Display will introduce the world’s first Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology to lighting and unveil “CSO lighting” that can act as speakers. CSO technology uses OLED panels as a vibration board to vibrate the panel directly and produce sound, which has been recently applied to LG OLED TVs.
LG Display will also release blinds and wallpapers that incorporate this OLED lighting technology. Furthermore, it also presented a variety of OLED lighting products in various forms, including flexible transparent shelves and car tail lights.
