Opentext booth at CeBIT 2009
Make IT Easy, IT Systems Management, IT automation, IT Planning, Application Monetization, and Mobile Applications - we’ve heard them all already.  Every possible Webciety keyword is displayed here at CeBIT 2009 Hall 6 and are fighting to signify a change in information technology trends.  A new keyword that has risen out of the ashes of the battle is Express and Interact.  Giant booths with fancy visual aids face one unit booths with different attention grabbing strategies before the eyes of the visitors who evaluate the quality of the products.  “Quite a few contents caught my eyes today.  One is Bloom from the Opentext booth.  The idea of the content itself is very amazing and necessary in the next century to come,” said Dr. Marco Cavaldi from Globe Consulting.  “I believe the one that was the most remarkable for me was Vpype’s personal broadcaster.  I’d definitely use it on my blog to teach English to my students,” said Sue from Japan.   Hall 6 at CeBIT 2009 presents Webciety contributors and the contents icons.

Are you ready to Bloom

The Opentext booth at CeBIT 2009 asked the question, are you ready to bloom
How do we connect all employees and their thoughts and ideas  That is what Bloom is for.  Bloom is the best organized version in the realm of the blog.  Here, employees can broadcast their thoughts and ideas for everyone to hear and evaluate in real time.  We have many tools to express our talents and strengths, but we were lacking the tool to make business more effective – until now.  The system takes everything that can be an information object, like a document, or a voice stream, is a part of the over-arching Bloom system.  Using the latest buzzwords, Bloom is a service-oriented architecture enterprise content management system.  The company says that they feel they will extremely contribute to the Webciety.

But less Visitors

CeBIT 2009 has 30% less visitors than last year, but the quality has not suffered.  Officials have said that there is nothing that is significantly better or worse than previous years.  Detlev Legler, Vice President Sales of Opentext, said: “At the bottom line in the end, we have to see the bottom line – we have to see how big a drop of visitors there are, and we have to decide how we go further.”  If the same trend happens for the next few years, then CeBIT has to look into what to do to change the trend.

Your Personal Broadcaster

“Broadcast yourself on Facebook!” was a catchy phrase the Vpype exhibitor shouted out to attract visitors to a sweet candy basket.  Vpype (www.vpype.com) from California provides a visual communication software solution that allows users to record or broadcast in real-time.  Vpype’s strength is the software’s easy access and affordable price.  “The product is called Vpype,” a spokesman said.  “You can broadcast yourself - it could be myspace, or any individual homepage.  A wide range of people can communicate with the world, make their own homepage, and broadcast themselves.”  This was something that people had not yet seen, really.  There was also a mobile version, which you can use to show people what you are doing at any given moment.  The company says that you can host your personal talk show and live broadcast audio/video to your friends, fans and general audience.  The audience can view the broadcast and then participate by text messaging during the broadcast.  Broadcasters can also save and share the show for later viewing.

“We see ourselves as adding value to people who cannot communicate themselves better,” explained the Vpype representative.  “This is the opportunity - this is the best way to broadcast yourself.   We picked CeBIT because people from all over the world come here to see something unique and innovative.
