Future of Global Green Growth: Found in Daedeok Innopolis

Throughout the world, the current key topic is 'green' therefore; there is urgency for each country to play a role for global green growth innovation. Once South Korea made its declaration of low-carbon green growth as a national vision, they have been making great efforts to create synergy and success.

The various green technologies are becoming new growth engines such as environment, energy, robotics, information technology and nanotechnology. Each R&D institution and enterprise is focused on the development of green technologies and production of green manufacturing.

Held concurrently, the 27th IASP World Conference on Science & Technology Parks and International Exhibition on Green Hi-Tech, have chosen Global Green Growth as their main theme. Open from May 24-26, the exhibition will make known the intentions of green growth through cutting-edge technology of participating exhibitors and will show the capability and technology of Daedeok Innopolis, Korea's largest and oldest science park.

The International Exhibition on Green Hi-Tech aims to generate business opportunities by bringing together green technology manufacturers with CEOs from high-tech companies, buyers, and venture investors. This event will advance green technologies and enhance global competitiveness through networking.

Daedeok Innopolis has numerous green technology research products and plans to publicize its growth projects through this exhibition. There will be a Green Biz Hall which displays High-Tech Science, Renewable Energy, Future Cells, Sustainable Energy Technology, and relevant products. The Green R&D Zone will exhibit R&D institutes, university R&D centers, and outcomes. Finally, the STP Zone will introduce the vision of global science and technology parks (STPs), and their accomplishments. At the Daedeok Innopolis Pavilion, visitors can observe the history and hi-tech information of Daedeok Innopolis at one glance. The humanoid robot Hubo will be on display as well.

Within these three distinct zones, there will be focus on Korean R&D, to enhance global competitiveness, and to nurture innovative industries both domestically and foreign through global collaboration. One notable example of nurturing innovation is the main exhibitor this year, Neurosky. Other prominent companies from overseas are: Masdar City of UAE, Wihang Group of China, WISTA of Germany, Riyadh Techno Valley of Saudi Arabia, World Technopolis Association, and Asia Science Park Association. Thus by, exhibiting their cutting-edge technology alongside global innovation, this exhibition aims to offer a global view of the current technology world.

Mr. Gye Doo Kang, the CEO of Daedeok Innopolis stated, "This exhibition will be an opportunity where people can experience global green technology. Also, I hope that this will be a starting place for business cooperation with the goal of global green growth."
