NCSOFT announced on the 15th at the ‘The Raum; in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul, that it will hold a media conference called ‘YEAR ONE’ that celebrates the first anniversary of its Lineage M service and thus enhance Lineage M as a global IP.
CEO Kim Taek-jin presented a milestone of Lineage M IP (Intellectual Property), saying, “I am going to leave Lineage and start a new voyage with the originality of Lineage M.”
As an execution plan, it introduced its own contents of Lineage M, implemented Full HD (super high definition) graphics upgrade, and introduced global (Japan, China, North America) service strategies.
NCSOFT’s Lee Seong-gu, Lineage UNIT Director, released a new class (job) ‘gunman’ with his own content of Lineage M. ‘Gunman’ is an original content that Lineage M added for the first time, and does not exist in the original PC online game.
NCSOFT will reorganize Lineage M’s graphics to full HD. It is a strategy to maintain the unique sensibility and gaming quality, and to improve the visual quality according to the needs of the users.
A separate global version development plan for the Japanese, Chinese, and North American markets was also released. This global version is a new game that is different from Lineage M, which currently operates in Korea and Taiwan.
NCSOFT is going to introduce its new version of Lineage M through a massive update.
The first episode of Lineage M, “Black Flame,” will be updated on May 30th. It will add a new class ‘gunman’ and a new server ‘Atoon.’
“Dragon Raid,” which is the main content of Lineage IP, will also be updated sequentially. Users will be able to participate in the ‘Black Flame’ Update pre-reservation promotion from 11 a.m. on May 15th.
