Sophos sets new benchmark for strong female leadership across four global regions

BURLINGTON, Mass., May 18, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sophos (LSE:SOPH), a global leader in network and endpoint security, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named 10 women from Sophos' channel and marketing teams to its prestigious 2018 Women of the Channel list. The annual list includes women from vendors, distributors, solution providers, and other organizations that figure prominently in the IT channel ecosystem.

For the second year in a row, Sophos has the most women included on CRN’s Women of the Channel list from any dedicated IT security company. The following women from Sophos were selected by the editors of CRN due to their professional accomplishments, demonstrated expertise and ongoing dedication to the IT channel:

  • Kendra Krause, vice president, global channels
  • Justine Lewis, vice president, worldwide field and channel marketing
  • Erin Malone, vice president, North America channel sales
  • Caralyn Stern, senior marketing director, global channel and Americas
  • Allison Clarke, director, global channel programs
  • Regina Vignone, director of channel sales, North America, East
  • Andrea Carter, director of marketing and global field programs, UKI
  • Nicki Dewhurst, marketing director, Asia Pacific and Japan
  • Maria Claudia Ardila, channel program manager, Latin America
  • Claudia Vizcarra, regional sales manager, Latin America

CRN has also included Kendra Krause, Erin Malone, and Caralyn Stern in the 2018 Power 100, an elite subset of the Women of the Channel list which recognizes women leaders whose vision and influence are key drivers of their company's success.

“Having ten women from our worldwide team being recognized on CRN’s Women of the Channel list is an incredible achievement. These awards not only demonstrate our global channel strength and commitment to be ‘channel best,’ but also the quality of talent we bring to support our partners,” said Michael Valentine, senior vice president of worldwide sales for Sophos. “We support initiatives such as CRN’s Women of the Channel to encourage more women to enter the cybersecurity industry. Sophos is a global leader in a market that is growing worldwide and doesn’t show any signs of decelerating. I am proud to be part of the winning team at Sophos.”

Many of the women CRN awarded played a key role in accelerating Sophos’ Cloud Security Provider (CSP) Program, which enables partners worldwide to better serve their customers as they migrate to the cloud and capitalize on revenue opportunities the cloud brings to the channel. These accolades also follow the inclusion of six Sophos executives on the 2018 CRN Channel Chiefs list and Sophos’ recent 5-star rating in CRN’s 2018 Partner Program Guide, further demonstrating the company’s dedication to its partners’ success. The Sophos Partner program has grown to serve more than 39,000 registered channel partners globally, with more than 7,000 blue chip partners transacting in the last six months.

“This accomplished group of leaders is steadily guiding the IT channel into a prosperous new era of services-led business models and deep, strategic partnerships,” said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. “CRN’s 2018 Women of the Channel list honors executives who are driving channel progress through a number of achievements—exemplary partner programs, innovative product development and marketing, effective team-building, visionary leadership and accelerated sales growth—as well as advocacy for the next generation of women channel executives.”

The 2018 Women of the Channel list will be featured in the June issue of CRN Magazine and online at www.CRN.com/wotc.
