KOTRA and the Ministry of Knowledge Economy of Korea gathered for the global software enterprises incubation to target America and Japan, which are the leading software markets. On April 21, 20 promising domestic companies had an opening ceremony titled "Software (SW) Global Star Enterprises Incubating Ceremony." The selected firms will be getting support from foreign market development from SW distribution centers located in Japan and Silicon Valley.
Earlier this month, KOTRA, SW Industry Institution (SWII), Knowledge Information Security Industry Association (KISIA), Information and Communications Industry Development Institute (ICIDI) and Information Technology Service Industry Association (ITSA) have recruited companies over the world and chosen them based on technological strength, export potential, and relevance to local market. In the end, 10 enterprises were picked from 47 from the U.S. and 10 enterprises out of 45 from Japan. Some of the companies are aiming to achieve US$10 million worth of exports within three years.
