Samsung SDS held "Cello Tech Fair 2018" on October 25 and introduced "Cello Plus 2.0" with AI technology that increases accuracy of predicted shipment.
Cello Plus 2.0 is a logistics platform that applied new IT technologies such as AI, IoT, and Big Data to Cello Plus that was introduced in 2015.
Cello Plus is a platform that enables services such as Supply Chain planning, international transportation, local transportation, and warehouse management.
Cello Plus 2.0 analyzes congestion at the port of arrival through Samsung SDS's AI analysis platform and provides the exact date of arrival.
Samsung SDS also introduced non-surface delivery service using IoT and Video Analytics.
For example, if a shipment is delivered early in the morning without a recipient, a non-surface shipping service provided by the cello platform will check the carrier access and monitor the store interior. Alarm is sent to the administrator in case of abnormal situations such as unauthorised access.
"Samsung SDS will be able to increase its competitive edge in logistics business even further with 'cello Plus 2.0' platform that combines new technologies such as AI and IoT with experiences in global logistics operations," said Kim Hyung-tae, director of logistics business.
