SK Innovation, SK Telecom, and SK Hynix, which are the three major SK companies, will have joint booths at CES2019 that will be held in Las Vegas from January 8 to January 11.
This is the first time for SK affiliates to join CES. Under the theme of 'Innovative Mobility by SK', the three companies are planning to bring together the group`s Mobility technology and present it to visitors.
The display booth will be set up within the North Hall where major global car manufacturers gather.
SK Innovation is going to introduce electric vehicle batteries, energy storage system (ESS) batteries, and Lithium-ion Battery Separator (LiBS) which is a key component of batteries.
Electric vehicle batteries are a key part of electric vehicles that are rapidly growing around the world as they are considered as future cars.
SK Innovation is planning to highlight its global competitiveness by displaying LiBS, which ranks second in global market share.
SK Telecom is going to introduce 'single photon LiDAR' and 'HD map update'. "Single photon LiDAR is a technology that can detect long-range targets that are over 300 meters long. 'HD map update' is a technology that updates current road information collected by vehicles to existing HD maps.
SK Telecom will work with SM Entertainment to introduce HoloBox and Oksusu Social VR at a joint exhibition booth in Central Hall.
SK Hynix is going to introduce memory semiconductor solutions that are essential to innovative Mobility technologies. It is going to display D-RAM and NAND-Flash that are applied to self-driving, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), infotainment, and Telematics.
"We are going to grab upper hands in future Mobility markets by combining SK affiliates' global top tier technologies," said the three SK companies.
