Dragonball MMORPG

Saarbrücken/Quierschied, Germany - May 19, 2010 - xaitment GmbH / Inc., the leading artificial intelligence (AI) game tool provider for the computer games and simulations industries, today announced a licensing contract with Swadesh Animation (P) Ltd., a forward thinking game development company headquartered in Bangalore, India.

Swadesh Animation is co-developing their new MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) titled Online TalesTM with India's most accomplished video game development company, RZ2 Games (P) Ltd., headed by famed NFL GameDay producer Chris Whaley and headquartered in Goa. The game development will also be supported by consultant, Jess Mulligan, one of the leading producers and consultants in the Online Games industry. Swadesh Animation will use four of xaitment's AI game tools to develop Online TalesTM, a highly anticipated Indian themed MMOG, with some Nordic and Anglo-Saxon influences.

The Swadash Animation team will utilize xaitment's tool xaitMap to quickly develop a server navigation mesh and implement a server-side collision of dynamic and static objects, like players and non-player characters (NPCs), and buildings and large props. In addition, xaitControl will enable the team to create complex behavior rulesets for NPCs through a graphical user interface, providing a simple way to add complexity to the actions and reactions of the NPCs in their game.

An evolutionary approach to game design has guided the Swadesh Animation team's development work and vision. "xaitThink and xaitKnow will allow Online TalesTM to implement - for the first time in MMOG's - rich ruleset-based learning behaviors in NPCs with varying levels of complexity," said Prasenjit "John" Medhi, President of Swadesh Animation. "An NPC merchant might simply learn from the experience of thefts from his warehouse, while a more complex NPC, such as a guild chieftain, could be made more despotic and aggressive, or timid and mild; and with various quirks, mimicking human behaviorisms as he attacks and raids other guilds. Online TalesTM will perhaps be the first living, breathing virtual human-like world, thanks to xaitment."

"It's an absolute pleasure working with Swadesh Animation and their co-developers RZ2 Games," said xaitment's Group CEO, Dr. Andreas Gerber about the collaboration. "John has been an enthusiastic partner from the very beginning and we are excited to see the results coming from the development of their game. The implementation of the most state-of-the-art technology, including xaitment's AI tools, will give the development of their game not only a huge time and cost saving advantage, but also an edge over the bland masses of other MMOGs."
