Khancera, a vehicle improvement technology company, produce silicone carbide filters that are retro-fitted to diesel engine vehicles to reduce soot in emissions.   Khancera filters have proved to remove up to 95% of soot from exhausts.  The carbide filters are an industry answer to legislation that has imposed compulsory emission constraints for vehicles.  These constraints are either currently or due to be legislatively imposed in many places all over the world.

Park, Ho-il and Xiadong Li from Shenzen Industrial Park in China examine filters at IASP 2010.

Established in 2008, Khancera, emission control system manufacturers, mainly serve the domestic Korean market for retro-fitting.  However, Khancera are establishing business in Europe and also have a business partner in the United States (US).  They are a notable exhibit at the IASP (International Association of Science Parks conference) in Daejeon as their product is very applicable to international climates where exhaust emission constraints exist.

Additionally, Khancera produce Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs) which can act as mini generators.  Their advances have application for the removal of smells and also for filtering water.  Khancera are exhibiting in the Daedeok Innopolis in Daejeon until the 26th May 2010 at the IASP conference and exhibition combination.
