LG Electronics plans to introduce its 5G smartphone for the first time at CCIB (Center de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona) in Spain on Feb. 24. The new smartphone faithfully reflected the needs of customers who want to enjoy large contents reliably with the speed of 5G, a company spokesman said.
By applying Qualcomm's latest AP "Snapdragon 855," it has increased its information processing power by over 45% compared to current situations. 5G Internet does not slow down or stop playing high-resolution games and high-capacity apps at the same time.
LG Electronics also increased stability by applying "Vapor Chamber" that has stronger heat release performance than previous heat pipes. The surface area of the "Vapor Chamber" is 2.7 times that of the heat pipes installed on the LG V40 ThinQ, and the amount of water contained in it is more than double.
Because the heat dissipation equipment is made of copper with a high thermal conductivity, the wider the surface area is, the faster and more extensive the heat around it is absorbed.
Battery capacity is 4,000mAh, which is more than 20 percent higher than LG V40 ThinQ, and it is designed to enjoy 5G's faster speed for longer periods of time. LG Electronics also announced that it has secured more time to use than previous products by optimizing software that encompasses AP, operating system, and apps.
"Based on reliable base and stability, we will accurately reflect customer needs and lead the 5G smartphone market," said an official of LG Electronics.
