A technology to improve the speed of the block chain has been developed.
Samsung SDS announced the block chain speed acceleration technology at the "IBM Think 2019" held in San Francisco on Feb. 14 (local time).
To improve the transaction processing speed, which is a key consideration in applying block chain technology, Samsung SDS has developed its own "Nexledger Accelerator" that can be applied to Hyperledger Fabric. Hyperledger fabric is an enterprise block chain platform created by IBM providing source code to the Linux Foundation and is being applied to a variety of industries.
Samsung SDS emphasized in December last year that it confirmed that transaction processing speed has significantly improved through testing of applying the Nexledger Accelerator to Hyperledger Fabric.
Samsung SDS is planning to provide tools for testing acceleration and the white paper that includes a technology roadmap of Nexledger Accelerator to help outside users use easily in the "github," a shared developer site.
It also decided to join IBM's Blockchain Platform Board to promote global blockchain ecosystem and the open source-based Hyperledger Fabric.
In October last year, Samsung SDS signed a business agreement with global banks and logistics companies based on its own block chain platform called "Nexledger." The Nexledger platform was selected as one of the top 10 Gartner Block Chain products in 2018, and has established a foundation for expanding its business in manufacturing, logistics and finance sectors in the future.
