Harex InfoTech, UBpay (User Centric Shared Mobile Payment Platform) Service Provider, signed a strategic partnership agreement with Korea Convenience Store Association (Chairman, Gye, Sang Hyuk on March 20. The Association of Owners of Franchised Convenience Stores of the Four Major Brands: CU, GS 25, Seven Eleven and Emart 24, in Korea), and MMC People (CEO Yu, Hee Jong), a part-time job search portal service provider for the harmonious growth creation of win-win situations for all by various value-added services based on a user centric shared mobile payment platform.

These three parties agreed to cooperate to set up the integrated mobile platform of the above mentioned four major nationwide convenience stores to provide a smart and easy mobile payment service first and foremost, and continuously add various services and content such as providing a part time job placement service etc. This integrated mobile platform will provide a stable and sustainable business environment by reducing the participants cost and increasing their profit by driving more customers to the more than 40,000 nationwide convenience stores participating in this agreement, helping address difficulties with the sharply increased minimum wage and weekly allowance.

As a result of this agreement, UBpay, user centric shared mobile payment platform of Harex Infotech Inc, is linked to the integrated mobile applications of four major nationwide convenience stores. Through this link, the customers using this integrated mobile service automatically get benefits such as loyalty points, rewards and coupons offered by each branded convenience store whenever they pay with credit cards, check cards and debit cards at any of these convenience stores nationwide.

In addition to using various and differentiated services like mobile payment for on-line shopping, mobile order ahead and pay, Dutch Treat, mobile payment with unmanned kiosk, and medical fintech (hospital/drugstore payment and mobile prescription service) etc., it also becomes the bridge that connects convenience store owners (who mostly hire part-time employees) with part-time job seekers easily and economically, using the part-time job placement service called “Ilbang” of “MMC People” (linked and integrated with the four major convenience store apps).

In particular, the Association of Owners of Franchised Convenience Stores of Four Major Brands in Korea, through the collaboration with Harex InfoTech Inc., will provide store owners seeking a loan with preferential lending services, such as raising loan limits and the rate of collateral recognition and simplified documentation. This works by sharing the sales records of the convenience stores with allied financial institutions. Moreover, along with MMC People, the association will also offer a welfare service that supports 1~3 day short term part-time employees to its members who may urgently need a very short-term part-time employee due to an unexpected incident like a funeral, hospitalization or accident.

Harex InfoTech, as the corporation that has developed, operates and supplies “UBpay”, the User Centric Open-type Universal Shared platform, provides the services that empower various and numerous alliance partners having their own mobile service apps. This allows banks, securities firms, retailers, franchisers, universities, religious service entities, hospitals, etc. to offer their own branded user centered mobile payment service to their users by integrating the UBpay shared system as an in-app module to the alliance partners’ mobile apps. Recently, Harex was selected as a mobile payment processor for the “Zero pay, Zero merchant fee service” by Korean Government.

Park, Kyung-yang, CEO of Harex Infotech said, "UBpay is the user centered shared mobile payment service that can be used by any company or organization without concern for information leakage or fees. From this strategic partnership, we will experience life-friendly payment services that are more convenience and more beneficial.

Harex InfoTech, the pioneer of Fintech, announced first mobile card payment system in the world at Silicon Valley, on April of 2000 and holds most critical patents applying to almost whole steps of mobile payment service, multi-factor authentication system combining with PIN and biometrics, payment, cash out and remittance service with mobile and the user centric payment platform shared with alliance partners.
