Han Sang-beom, vice chairman of LG Display, called for achieving goals for a new leap forward.
LG Display said on April 26 that it held a "Decision to Achieve the company's goals in 2019" at its Paju operations in Gyeonggi Province, attended by some 1,000 executives and employees, including CEO Han Sang-beom, vice chairman of the company, and representatives of each class.
Through this event every year, LG Display is renewing its commitment and determination to achieve its goal.
Starting with a special lecture to invite celebrities, the event held a resolution to achieve its goal under the slogan "Quality No.1 Delivery No.1 under Speed Management".
Programs such as a 19-meter large gimbap making event, which means everyone must come together to achieve their 2019 goals, and a hiking trail that reaches the top of Mt. Wolong in Paju were held at the event.
"2019 is the last year of Golden Time for a new leap forward, and we need a spirit of challenge that won't give up in the face of difficulties and trials," Vice Chairman Han Sang-beom said. "Let's make sure to achieve our goal by pouring all our energy into the confidence that we can do it again."
He also emphasized the company's goals such as securing competitive edge in large-size OLEDs, small and medium-sized POLEDs, and maximizing profitability of LCD.
