Cubrid, which specializes in open-source DBMS, said on June 5 that it has signed a strategic business agreement with WhaTap Labs, a company specializing in IT monitoring.
WhaTap Labs is a company that provides cloud-based IT integration monitoring services and provides performance analysis services across corporate IT such as servers, databases and applications.
WhaTap IT monitoring service, which supports both traditional IT and cloud environments, can be integrated monitoring not only in multi-cloud but also in hybrid cloud environments, and can be used in two ways: software as a service (SaaS) and installation-type.
Through the agreement, the two companies plan to cooperate in developing "WhaTap for CUBRID" products. WhaTap for CUBRID provides customized monitoring to ensure that the Cubrid DB instances operate reliably in a variety of environments, enabling development and operations teams to more effectively implement the DevOps environment and enhance productivity and efficiency.
The two companies also plan to continue cooperation in sales and marketing after the product development.
"We hope that we can expand the ecosystem of Cubrid users by working with WhaTap Labs, which is leading a new paradigm in the IT monitoring market with innovative technologies," said Jung Byung-joo, CEO of Cubrid. “We will try to strengthen our product competitiveness by expanding our solution links with local software companies," he said.
"WhaTap IT monitoring service is not only a performance indicator, but also a tool for communication and collaboration that presents ways to detect and improve problems," said Lee Dong-in, CEO of WhaTab Labs.
